Although most people want to lose weight, be more fit, and healthy, it can be hard to set up an optimal fitness program.
It took me a lot of trying and frustration before I learned how to have a healthy lifestyle and how to be healthy. Because before that, I couldn’t make a schedule with my sports application and run it for more than a few days in a row before stopping.
Today, I am much healthier, thinner, but in better shape. I eat healthy most of the time (with little pleasures from time to time) and I am able to stick to a meal plan if I want to, and I avoid bad food at all costs.
How have I changed? I learned some simple strategies. This will not suit everyone, so choose the ones that might suit your life, and try them out!
Here are my tips for good health!
1) Tell Gods about bad food.
Having unhealthy food in your home or workplace makes it too difficult is bad. Indeed, it makes it very difficult to keep a healthy diet. If possible, balance anything sweet, fatty, fried, or salty (especially fat). What do you have to do to be healthy? The best strategy is not to have them at hand. Empty your closets and fridge if it contains greasy stuff!
2) Choose good fats
That is, the most important ones are Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats rather than saturated fats and bad unsaturated fats.
To do this, focus on the following foods:
- The nuts
- Fish, especially salmon because it is very rich and has low levels of mercury.
- Extra virgin olive oil.
- Linseed and naturally pressed linseed oil.
- Lean meats, and in particular white meats (chicken, turkey, pig). Of course, it is preferable to select farmhouse poultry raised without hormones and antibiotics.
In addition, avoid absolutely or consumed the possible month:
- Saturated fats from fatty meats, butter, milk, and other animal products.
- Commercial cooking oils.
- Hydrogenated fats from margarine or vegetable fats, and almost all commercial pastries.

- Amount of oil, and cook for a short time at medium or low temperature.
3) Limit your consumption of red meat as much as possible.
It is advisable to avoid red meat, even if it is lean, in all cases, because livestock is generally saturated with hormones and antibiotics used by industrial farms, especially because it takes longer to raise a cow or pig than a hen. In addition, this meat is often high in cholesterol, and there is a risk of prion infection due to mad cow disease.
4) Eat 5 fruits and vegetables a day
Here is the key advice was given by the official program of the Ministry of Health, Eat Move, with good reason.
A healthy diet is about filling up on vitamins, nutrients, and colours (in addition to being balanced). The easiest way to do this is to promote fruit and vegetables. They are rich in nutrients, but not in calories, which allows you to eat a lot of them without ruining your waist size and with that, it’s good for you. And, of course, the fresher they are, the better!
Most fruits and vegetables are good for you, but some of them are definitely better than others. If you want to take advantage of Mother Nature, you should also add cabbage, spinach, carrots, celery, cranberries, blueberries and pineapple to your weekly shopping list.
The benefits of consuming fresh, natural and starch-poor vegetables are countless. They contain a myriad of valuable nutrients and fibre, and have a low glycemic index and caloric density.
However, care must be taken not to overcook them: overcooking would cause them to lose their vitamins, phytochemicals and other nutrients. Ideally, some of them should be cooked lightly with steam, or eaten raw after the thorough cleaning.
5) Force on the water.
If you are looking for a natural miracle product, water is probably the closest thing to it. Stay hydrated and your whole body will stay healthy. In particular your skin, hair and nails, your organs and even your mind.
You can also lose weight! Studies show that you can lose two kilos a year just by increasing your consumption by one litre of water a day. One of the reasons you lose weight is that water can satisfy you faster, but drinking cold water can also increase your metabolism. In fact, drinking cold water when you exercise will burn even more calories.
6) Keep a food journal
Here is a simple but effective tip for eating a balanced diet and staying healthy: write down your differences in a food journal every day, so you are less tempted to renew them. Prepare a chart with the 7 days of the week and the different times of the day, and record, as you go along, everything you eat and drink (without exception!), including outside meals. This may sound simple, but it can also help you to be aware of your small excesses.
7) Be physically active on a regular basis.
Physical exercise can positively influence your mental health by causing chemical reactions that can positively affect your mood and reduce anxiety and stress.
There are no thirty-six solutions: if you have a sedentary lifestyle, you are slumping your body. You need to stay active to stay healthy. You decrease his abilities if you don’t use your brain – and the same goes for your muscles! So do something, whether it’s running every morning for three kilometres or walking your dog every night. Your body wants it.
8) Get enough sleep.
Lack of sleep can affect your mental health and physical health. Because it can cause emotional and psychological problems. Go to bed at reasonable times and try to get about eight hours of sleep. This will help you to promote optimal recovery in order to face your day.
9) Maintain relationships and have fun.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with people is very beneficial to mental health. So work to build good relationships with the people around you, whether at home, at work or in your community. These contacts will enrich your life and provide you with support.
Also, taking the time to laugh and have fun helps you stay mentally stable! Laughter and humour can cheer you up, give you a sense of well-being and help you reduce your stress. Find reasons to laugh is important: read comics, listen to comedies or tell jokes to your friends.
10) Learn to manage your stress and enjoy the moment.
Stressful moments are a part of life, but it is important to learn how to overcome them in order to maintain your mental health. Find out what causes your stress so you can find ways to deal with it effectively.
Balance your professional and personal life. If you feel that you are spending too much time in one area of your life and not enough time in another, your work-life balance may be disrupted.
Learn how to reconcile the two! The best way to achieve this balance varies from person to person; find the strategy that suits you best. Learn to focus on the present moment, instead of constantly thinking about past or future events; this will allow you to enjoy the little joys you might otherwise let go.
If you can implement these habits on a daily basis, the studies are formal. Your chances of living long, healthy, happy and relaxed lives will be greatly improved, and your chances of dying prematurely from a serious disease such as cancer or heart disease will be greatly reduced.
